Grief Counseling

Since 1993, the Committee has retained the services of a grief support professional who has been available at no charge to assist bereaved families. At the family's request, the Memorial's grief coordinator will visit the home and guide family members through the special emotional hardship that accompanies the sudden loss of a loved one.

Alcohol and other Drug Addiction Education, Intervention, Assessment and Treatment

Lakeside-Milam Recovery Centers is a family owned and local Addiction Treatment center. They have two residential centers and 10 outpatient centers in the greater Seattle area. They provide free assessments and all levels of outpatient and inpatient treatment. They also have Intervention classes twice a week and can provide onsite training for supervisors and skippers on helping keep crews safe and functional in regards to the use of alcohol and other drugs.

Lakeside employs staff that have fished throughout Alaska. They can also provide telephone assessment and consultation for Alaska based families and fleet managers.
